case study summary

One of America’s great universities, internationally recognized for many academic honors – particularly in its School of Economics, had only a very rudimentary athletic field and stadium. As the university’s athletic program grew and competitive sports became more prominent, the existing facilities were no longer adequate.

The university needed a stadium that would provide comfort for spectators as well as proper accommodations for reporters and observers. At the same time, the administration was extremely price conscious. They required a structure that would be economical to build, durable, and relatively maintenance-free so that it would not require significant repairs in the near future.
