case study summary
Whitley partnered with a company to design and construct a modular press box for Prep School. The single-module structure was thoughtfully designed to support game-day operations, featuring a private interior office, elevated lookout stand, and dedicated media desks to accommodate announcers, scorekeepers, and media personnel. The building was completed to 100% inside Whitley’s manufacturing facility, with all electrical systems, lighting, finishes, and furnishings fully installed prior to delivery, allowing for a streamlined and efficient on-site installation.
Constructing the press box required careful coordination to meet a tight project timeline and ensure readiness for upcoming sporting events. By maximizing the amount of work completed within the controlled factory environment – including electrical wiring, technology rough-ins, and interior build-out. Whitley minimized on-site labor and significantly reduced installation time. The modular approach not only ensured quality control and schedule certainty but also delivered a durable, functional structure that enhances the game-day experience for athletes, staff, students, and spectators alike.
A fully prefabricated modular press box designed for rapid installation and immediate game-day readiness. Built to enhance athletic event operations, this single-module structure delivers functionality, durability, and speed to meet demanding school schedules.
